On 11.3.1930 to oppose the salt tax levied by the British government on Indians Mahatma Gandhi started a march from his Ashram at Sabarmati, Ahmedabad along with his 78 trusted volunteers. The march was over 240 miles. Gandhiji and his volunteers marched approximately 10 miles every day. Thousands of people joined him on his way to Dandi. They reached the destination on 6.4.1930 and ceremonially violated the law, manufacturing salt by boiling Arabian Sea water. He appealed to Indians to peacefully defy British laws. This marked the beginning of the Civil Disobedience Movement

LABOUR DAY Cosmos Castle International School, Kindergarten celebrates SAHYOGI DIVAS Who are we referring to as Sahyogis? In all our lives there are some people who quietly make our lives smoother by taking over the innumerable mundane and thankless tasks. We realize the importance and value of these people only in their absence. These people are the task force which comprises the cleaners, peons, gardeners, etc. They are unfortunately often called the Lower staff where in fact they are the backbone of any organization. To create awareness among children about the role of these helpers in our day-to-day life and to instill in them respect for all and learn to value them better, the Kindergarten at Cosmos Castle International School organized Sahyogi Divas on Friday. To show gratitude and respect towards them, the children, guided by their teachers, gifted fruit baskets and a Thank you Card to each one of them. This gave them an opportunity to understand the world around them and know their place in it as well.
