Welcoming new ideas and fresh perspective, the school hosts international teachers / interns and encourages international students exchange programmes where they put forward their ideas in constructive ways and to interact with students from other international schools through projects and collaboration.

By setting up a House System, we encourage strong team loyalty and a sense of friendly & healthy competition amongst the school peers.

The House system is the key to the ethos and culture at CCIS and provides each member of our community with a sense of belonging. Each student is allocated to one of the four houses- Marut, Hutashan, Vasundhara and Nilambar and is supported by a well-balanced programme of competitions and activities led by our House Heads.

The House Competition promotes a keen but healthy rivalry between House teams. Points accumulated from various sports, cultural & academic competitions that are held throughout the year for winning the Best House Trophy.

Cultural activities and games are an essential part of the curriculum. Inter-House and Inter-School cultural activities such as debates, dramatics elocution and team games like, basketball, volleyball, karate, football, yoga, physical education, music, art, dancing, computers, personality development with moral value education, variety of handicraft and self development workshops, promote a sense of loyalty and healthy competition. The purpose is to cultivate a childs confidence, creativity, self esteem, ambition, knowledge, physical endurance and sense of self achievement. In effect making a child far better equipped to face the world and its challenges by developing his personality in its totality.

The purpose of the football program is to provide an extracurricular activity for school students which builds their character and leadership skills and allows them to grow mentally and physically while supporting their academic growth. The physical benefits being strength , cardio vascular endurance and flexibility. The mental benefits being boosting selfesteem , problem solving and leadership. At cosmos , we have a turf court which is non toxic , eco-friendly and insect repellent.

Basketball – Basketball is one of the major games in cosmos castle school. Basketball as a sport helps students in keeping good health by developing stamina and strength. As an extracurricular activity, it builds character and leadership skills among the players. Playing Basketball emphasizes on teamwork and unity teachers players the principles of working with others towards a common goal.

Modern educational trends are rapidly moving away from the traditional “chalk and talk” methods to more interactive, progressive education. No longer are learners expected to sit passively and absorb information while the teacher drones in front of the students in the classroom. Instead they are encouraged to discover things on their own. The premise is that we learn better from personal discovery than from passive listening.

The classroom sizes are made for perfect distribution of teacher’s attention which is supported by up- to – date modern amenities and teaching technologies. All classrooms are digitally equipped with Smart boards.

A studio concept of teaching has been devised. Studios such as Math, EVS, Language and Art are built, well equipped with respective teaching tools and models. Students are enriched with hands on experience and knowledge in these studios. The aim is at concept clarity and strengthening fundamentals. The teacher guides students through this learning process where they learn, discover, teach, experience, play and grow.

CCIS believes that education does not flow one way. Platforms are created to share ideas, suggestions, views, etc. with each other.

An online platform is created for connecting our parents virtually. The App is compatible with smartphones as well as local computers.

Daily updates on the academic coverage are sent to parents through this app. Regular updates are also sent to parents on their wards appreciations and misdemeanours.

Apart from imparting quality education at CCIS it is our constant endeavour to ensure holistic development of learners along with development of 21st century skills and service to the community.
