Cosmos Castle International School GREEN CAMPUS- Kindergarten celebrates SAHYOGI DIVAS* Who are we referring to as Sahyogis? In all our lives there are some people who quietly make our lives smoother by taking over the innumerable mundane and thankless tasks. We realize the importance and value of these people only in their absence. These people are the task force which comprises the cleaners, peons, gardeners, etc. They are unfortunately often called the Lower staff where in fact they are the backbone of any organization. To create awareness among children about the role of these helpers in our day-to-day life and to instill in them respect for all and learn to value them better, the Kindergarten at Cosmos Castle International School organized Sahyogi Divas on Friday. To show gratitude and respect towards them, the children, guided by their teachers, gifted fruit baskets and a Thank you Card to each one of them. This gave them an opportunity to understand the world around them and know their place in it as well. Activity-based learning is an integral part of a child’s education at Cosmos Castle International School wherein student experiences, learn and explore new things dealing with day to day. It is a well-stated fact that without community living, our survival would be much more difficult for we depend on each other for so many things. Keeping up with the same, the school will organize ‘SAHAYOGI DIVAS’, which will enrich and help the students to learn about and respect the unsung heroes viz. community helpers. The activity was conducted on 29TH April, Friday. Students shared a thank you note and a gift hamper of fruits with the non-teaching staff( sahayogi) of the school.

Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being.” The students of CCIS GC school practised yoga and meditation to celebrate this day. They were explained the importance of yoga in our daily lives by our principal Mrs Diksha Dave. Mr Vastu, our sports teacher conducted a meditation and yoga session in the morning and helped students learn the positive impacts of meditation and understand the benefits of yoga. Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.

To improve is to change ; to be perfect is to change often. We were sure that we have among our children ' rare diamonds'- children with qualities, merits, talents, traits, gifts etc.rarely brought to limelight. CCIS Green Campus provided an opportunity to our little ones who were in some way uniquely gifted and talented, who should get over with their stage fear and participate in co- scholastic activities , not always aim at winning but being a part of the event and experiencing the fun participation. Little ones showcased their talents. Some sang, some danced..narrated stories and dialogues.Yet there were twins who narrated the entire Hanuman Chalisa . Last but not the least we also had a child playing the Happy Birthday and Sa Re..Ga..Ma notes on a keyboard. What a bunch of gifted and talented children. It was great day at the Green Campus. The event ended with a free dance and photo session.
