International Yoga Day *Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self* Students and teachers of CCIS S.G campus celebrated the 8th International Yoga day with full energy and enthusiasm. Since 2015, Yoga day is celebrated on the 21st of June with a unique theme every year. This year the theme was ‘Yoga for Humanity. After 2 years amid the pandemic, today this day was celebrated in an offline setting accompanied by various beneficial aasanas and Surya namaskar .

Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the tiny tots of primary sections at COSMOS Castle International School, Ahmedabad. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebration when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive spirit. The most significant event of the program was “ Dahi Handi”, organized separately for boys and girls. Everyone at Cosmos Castle took part in the celebration and enjoyed it thoroughly.

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णु र्गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः गुरु साक्षात परब्रह्मा तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः Cosmos Castle International School believes in inculcating traditional values in the students. Kindergarten children celebrated Guru Poornima on Wednesday,13th of July. The day began with a happy note with children singing the Guru Stuti and aarti. This was followed by the students seeking the blessings of Director Ma’am, Principal Ma’am, and all the teachers by applying tilak and touching their feet. The activity was organized to make the children aware of this auspicious day. Here are some of the glimpses of the event.

वक्रतुंड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ: निर्विघ्नं कुरुमेदेव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा ।। Ganesh Chaturthi, the birthday of Lord Ganesha was celebrated on Tuesday, 30th August 2022. The children in Kindergarten came dressed up in yellow color traditional clothes. The legend of Lord Ganesha was narrated with animation, to the children as a classroom activity. They enjoyed the story about how young Ganesha acquired his trunk! To increase the enthusiasm for Ganapati Bappa, Art and craft activities were conducted. Children made trunk-shaped masks and put them on. The students of Grade 1 and 2 made Ganesha out of leaves. Children were very thrilled and enthusiastically molded beautiful Lord Ganesha out of clay. They enjoyed making ladoos with oreo biscuits. The festival brought devotion, creativity, understanding, and learning. Overall it was an enjoyable day for all

There’s so much we can do to help protect and restore our planet, from joining a cleanup or climate strike, to taking part in the small local initiatives, to hosting an event in your own community! CCIS celebrated Earth Day with great motivation. Everyone of us have learned a lot during this quarantine period, how important it is to save Mother Earth. Students have made marvellous items under “THRASH TO TREASURE” activity like mask, bird feeder, paper bag from old news paper, lamp, flower vase etc.

Sr. Kg. Graduation Day 2019-2020 CCIS SG Campus celebrated Sr Kg Graduation Day on 20th February , 2020.Tiny tots dressed up with beautiful attires and entertained the audience with rhymes and songs. Director -Mrs.Usha Kull, The Principal - Mrs. Priyanka Saxena ,Coordinators and Teachers congratulated the the little ones on their big day.The most important part of the day Graduation Ceremony started with the smart tiny tots of pre primary students dressed in graduation dress and caps walking the stage. Children looked pretty in their graduation robes and caps. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for not only the little ones but also a proud moment for the parents and the mentors as they witnessed their children receiving their KG Graduation Day Scroll. May God bless these tiny “graduates” as they continue their education in the main stream of the school!

To help students understand better about various modes of transport, Transport Day Event was held for the kindergarten section of CCIS on 18th July 2019. Different forms of transport like land, water and air were introduced to the kids through flash cards. The event saw in depth teaching where teachers creatively built up a model categorizing different means of transport. Children brought different models of the modes of transport like cars, ships, aeroplanes, bus, etc and spoke a few lines on the same. This helped them to visualise and understand with clarity. It also helped them to develop their vocabulary and language skills while speaking in front of their teachers and classmates. They also played a game where they placed various modes of transport on a board which had land water and air on it.

“Every child born into the world is a new thought of God, an ever fresh and radiant possibility.” Today, 14th November was a special day for children. 14th November is celebrated every year in India as Children’s Day to mark Chacha Nehru's birthday. Students celebrated the day in a very special way. Few came dressed up as Chacha Nehru, while some danced and some dressed up as colourful clowns to spread smiles on every face. We discussed Chacha Nehru and shared information about him. Teachers planned a craft activity for the students and also planned games for the students. All the kids really enjoyed the day and so did the teachers.

"A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people." - Mahatma Gandhi* January 26, 2020, marks India’s 71st Republic Day. On this day, the country’s constitution came into effect along with its stance as an independent republic. To honour the significance of this day CCIS S G Campus celebrated Republic day starting day with flag hoisting, dance, musical dance drama giving an astonishing message of save girl child and girls right to Education. How can this beautiful day end without remembering “Bapu”, students performed skit on Bapu’s principle and how one should adopt it in their life. All this act has given wonderful understanding to students about country’s constitution and sacrifice of our freedom fighters. Today’s day has filled Campus with patriotism and dedication.

CCIS organized Uttrayan celebration with lots of joy and zest for the kids of Kindergarten.Happy faces and smiles could be seen everywhere when the teachers flew colourful kites with their students. Laughter and fun filled the air as the children saw their kites high up in the sky. Children recited rhymes “Kites Kites flying high & सर सर उड़ी पतंग” as they saw the kite in the sky jumping and smiling with joy.Children were very happy and excited. CCIS S G Campus also conducted special assembly to educate student about Save Birds and precaution to take while flying kites. Students gave speech on why we celebrate Uttrayan.
